Today we would like to share the simple steps to clean your SILVER jewelry!

We all know that silver jewelry looks old and rusty over time, and the most common reason is unavoidable, air.

While you can shine silver manually, it takes muscle and time. It even removes some of the silver itself during the abrasive process of polishing

The tarnish develop as a chemical reaction when silver combines with sulfur and creates silver sulfide, darkening the surface. The resulting color can range in color from yellow to black, which not the most attractive way to show off your jewels.

What You need!

• A dish or bowl
• Aluminum foil
• Boiling water
• 1 tablespoon of baking soda for each cup of water

What you need to do,

1. Line the bottom of a dish or bowl with aluminum foil.
2. Bring water to a roaring boil (it should be enough to fill that bowl or dish).
3. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda per cup of water. Expect that the solution may bubble and froth a bit.
4. Place the piece of silver jewelry in the dish, making sure it’s touching the aluminum foil. This is essential for the chemical reaction to occur.
5. Pour the solution of baking soda and boiling water into dish.
6. Let sit for two to 10 minutes, depending on the level of tarnish.
7. Allow it to dry.

If you’re in shock and wondering how it work, here’s the deal.  It’s actually reversing the chemical reaction that made your silver tarnish in the first place. 

During this electrochemical reaction, the silver sulfide atoms transfer from the jewelry to the aluminum. In other words, your ring will be free from the sulfur that darkened it in the first place. Pretty crazy, right.

It is not always easy to spot a fake COACH bags. Fakes are becoming closer to the real deal, but there are some things to look for that will tell you if the bag in question is an imitation or the real Coach. The way to spot the fakes is to become familiar with the Coach brand and before purchasing a purse, establish what makes it unique and what you need to look for in that particular bag.

Here are some things to consider:

Fabrics and Materials,

• The hardware used on a bag is heavy and done either in silver or brass. They never use plastic or plated metal.
• Coach leather is buttery-soft and feels high-quality. Fakes are often done in pleather or plastic.
• The dust bag might be a giveaway. Coach classically use a chocolate brown dust bag with red stitching and a red drawstring. The bottom right will feature the logo in white. However, when purchasing an accessory, Coach tends to use white dustbag with the logo situated in the bottom right hand corner in red.
• Coach makes sure that all their stitching is done perfectly. They do not use cheap thread, or sloppy stitches, and there shouldn’t be unfinished stitches either. Bags vanity states that uneven or poor stitching is a dead giveaway of a fake Coach product.

Creed and Serial Numbers

• Each authentic Coach bag has a creed which consists of a leather square panel. This creed contains a style number, as well as unique serial number. It’s perfectly centered, always stitched onto the bag, and never glued on.
• The creed itself provides details of the origin of the bag and how it has been manufactured. Sometimes fake Coach bags contain a creed with an abundance of typos or spelling mistakes.
• The serial number is stamped into the fabric of the creed of an authentic Coach bag. If the bag is fake, it might contain a serial number that has been inked on.
• In recent bags, the style and productions codes have been attached separately from the creed. These are seen on a small white tag often sewn inside a pocket.

In late 2014, Coach stopped putting the serial number on the creed altogether and instead placed it on a tiny white tag, usually sewn into a seam in a bottom corner inside the bag or inside an interior pocket.

Coach added serial numbers to the creed in the 1970’s – each bag had a unique number – a “serial number” in the true sense of the word. This was apparently true through the 1980’s, and it was not until the 1990’s that Coach introduced the modern “registration format” of letters and numbers, with the last four digits indicating the style number of the bag – or, in the late 2000’s, the last five digits.

How to clean jewelry at home

Today we want to share with you about how to clean the jewelry at home using the dish soap, thing that you have at home. It’s a money saving.

Cleaning Jewelry with Dish Soap

1. Put a few drops of liquid dish detergent in a bowl of lukewarm (not hot) water.

– Mix gently, as the tap water also work fine. Don’t use any boiling or freeze water.

2. Soak the gold jewelry in solution

– Soak the jewelry in the water for about 15 – 30 minutes.

3. Gently scrub the jewelry with soft-bristled toothbrush

– Use very soft brush and scrub each piece of jewelry individually. Pay attention to nook & crannies that may keep the dirt.

4. Rinse each piece in warm running water

– Good rinsing will help remove lingering dirt that has been loosened after brushing.

5. Blot dry with a soft cloth

– Let jewelry dry completely on the towel. Don’t wear if still wet.

5. Authenticity tag

Authentic Coach will have an authenticity tag that will show the serial number. Even if there is a serial number, be careful as sometimes there is typo also. Also take a look on the embossing and also the serial number.
