Don’t Rush

Most of your jewelries must have sentimental value. Before you sell it out, you can evaluate every pieces of gold jewelry that intended to sell. Make sure the sentimental value don’t effect your expected price. For example, broken items, earring with missing pair or outdated design. All this is ideal types of gold to be consider to sell out without no emotional meaning.

Get An Estimation Value

If you have designer brand gold or any antique design, please do some appraisal before you sell it like normal gold. Normally normal gold is valued by weigh and grade. But differ with designer gold, it should be valued as a brand. You can get higher price if you can found the right place that willing to pay higher than gold price.

Know Your Gold

Every gold have their own seal that determine purity of the gold. It will be stamped at hook area. For ring, you can found the stamping inside ring area. For gold bar or gold coin stamped on the gold bar itself. Most recent design will use grade such as 999.9, 916, 750, 585, 375 and etc. You can find the stamping before go to any goldsmith shop. But some of the stamping need to using loop. Some can just seen by bare eyes.

Find A Trusted Buyer

Do some research about the place that you wish to sell out your gold. Make sure they buyer have a license for buying gold.

Know The Gold Market Price

Gold price will up and down daily. So before selling your gold, you can search about gold market price. But the price is just a guideline. All the transaction will have deduction. The deduction is vary depending on where you sell it.

Get Realistic

Remember that you will only be paid with the amount of your gold. Don’t expect you can get price more than your buying time. Unless your items is 20 years over, it is possible to get more. But if not, please be ready to get paid lower than your buying price.
